Gerry Anderson, RIP
Gerry Anderson, creator of popular sci-fi shows which aired in Britain and the US in the 1960s and 1970s, has died at age 83. Anderson's work included Thunderbirds, Space 1999, and Stingray. Many of his series made use of miniatures and marionettes, a technique called "Supermarionation." The above-linked story on BBC's website has clips about Anderson and his work.
