krmg.com: Inside krmg.com KRMG Talk Programs - Now Heard Earlier!

I am of two minds about this. I have long hoped that the KMR would play Rush (not to mention their other programs) live. The hour delay is really silly on big news days when Rush is talking about something that is already old news an hour later, not to mention the problems it presents if one wants to attempt to call in.

If you recall, one of KFAQ's big promotional statements when they started was that the were playing programs live so callers could participate. I liked that. I always secretly hoped that Rush would give priority to a local affiliate that agreed to play him live rather than tape delayed.

The aforesaid considered, I hate to have a loss of local news. However, moving their national programs live does not mean KRMG has to do away with local news and programs. They need to get something interesting that people want to listen to and it will find its own place in the schedule. I'll be honest and say I have not been too impressed with Midday Oklahoma for a while. It's possible to do the news in an interesting way. If local news and information is a priority for KRMG, they can make it happen and make money on it, which is of course the bottom line.
