Brenda Reneau, who served three terms as Oklahoma Labor Commissioner from 1995 to 2007, has died at age 58. The McCarville Report has an obituary and tributes from elected officials who served alongside her, including Gov. Mary Fallin, former Gov. Brad Henry, former Corporation Commissioner Denise Bode, and State Auditor Gary Jones.

Reneau is remembered for her work on prevailing wage fraud in Oklahoma. Her efforts resulted in substantial savings for Oklahoma taxpayers on the cost of taxpayer-funded construction.
